The New India Assurance Company Limited has invited applications from eligible fresh graduates to join as apprentices under the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS). A total of 550 training seats are available across all states and union territories of India. The training lasts 12 months and a stipend of Rs. 12,300 per month is provided.

Q2. Who is eligible to apply for this apprenticeship?

Any Indian citizen who has completed a graduation degree in any subject from a recognised university is eligible. The final year result date must fall between 01 January 2022 and 01 June 2026. The candidate must be between 21 and 30 years of age (as on 01 June 2026) for the General category, with relaxations for reserved categories. The candidate must be a fresher with no prior apprenticeship training and no more than one year of work experience.

Q3. How much stipend will an apprentice get?

An apprentice will receive a monthly stipend of Rs. 12,300/-. This will be credited by the 10th of the following month. No other benefits like Provident Fund or medical insurance are provided, as apprentices are not considered employees of the company.

Q4. What is the last date to apply for New India Assurance Apprentice 2026?

The last date to apply online is 06 July 2026. Candidates must complete their application on both the NATS portal (nats.education.gov.in) and the BFSI SSC portal (beep.bfsissc.com) before this date and also pay the application fee.

Q5. What is the exam pattern for the selection test?

The online written test has 100 questions worth 100 marks in 60 minutes. The four sections are: General/Financial Awareness (25 marks), General English (25 marks), Quantitative and Reasoning Aptitude (25 marks), and Computer Knowledge (25 marks). The exam will be held on 12 July 2026.

Q6. Will I get a permanent job after the apprenticeship training?

No. Completing the apprenticeship does not guarantee any employment. The company has no obligation to offer a job, and the apprentice also has no obligation to accept one. This is purely a training programme, not a recruitment.

Q7. Can OBC creamy layer candidates apply?

OBC candidates who fall under the creamy layer are not eligible for OBC reservation benefits. They can still apply but must select “General / Unreserved” as their category and meet the age criteria applicable to General category candidates.

Q8. What is the application fee for SC/ST/PwBD candidates?

You need your Aadhaar card, a valid personal email ID, a mobile number, a passport-size photograph in JPEG format (less than 1 MB), and your graduation degree or provisional certificate in PDF format (less than 1 MB).

Q10. What happens if two candidates score the same marks in the exam?

If two or more candidates have the same score in the merit list, the older candidate (by date of birth) will be ranked higher. This means age in descending order is the tiebreaker.
